Updates 2007

I had planned to do a comic for tomorrow. But... My comp came yesterday, and I spent all day trying to get it to function. Only to find out now that a capacitor is fucking crapping out. So now I have to go buy a whole new comp because this ones just a pain in the ass. So I need to build one. So until I can get a comp thats useable...I wont be updating the comic. Comic is on hiatus until furthur notice.

As you may or may not already know, tomorrow is Day of the Ninja. I had planned a comic but I didn't have enough time to draw it, so I'm flaking out on you. However, I have a new project coming up at blackdecembercomics.com. It's a project with my friend Chris and one of his other female friends. Not much on that yet. Enjoy today's slacronym, #89.

*burps* Here's Chapter 1 Page 30. Only 2 more pages until the chapters finished. I'm going to try to do some changes in chapter 2. So until I figure out what I wanna do the comic will be postponed. It shall however continue sometime next year.

Happy birthday to you Gary. Sorry I haven't been updating very often guys. I'm gunna get back to that now. I was going through a dry streak where everything I drew looked like crap to me. I had absolutely positively, lost my talent, which is slowly returning back to me, in a lot more strength than before. Check out my artblog for proof of that. Halloween comic is still in the process of being colored. I'm feeling very unmotivated. So, as you can imagine I'm not doing my work. LOL. Instead i'm reading a bunch of books, and eventually will lose interest in that... And probably get back to work. Lets hope that happens soon. Too many ups and downs for me every year.

There's just one week until Halloween! Well a week and a day. ;) Exciting isn't it? I haven't yet gotten any work done on the coloring of halloween comic 2007! But, I assure you, both pages will be ready by Halloween. So far I've almost finished everything that has to be done this week, that being said, I've finished Friday's comic, but no, you may not see it early! lol

Chapter 1 page 26 is up! Just on time. I like how the electromagnetism came out. It's awesome. Next week I'm going to have one page done two different ways, because I want to know which you like best, because that's the style chapter 2 is going to be in. I'm going to spend all week next week working on the halloween comic, which luckily for you, it's 2 pages long. That makes it an extra special comic! ;) I love halloween, so 2 pages is fine with me.

Got everything drawn and scanned. Coloring will commence later today...I have a new comp that should be coming soon and hopefully that will help me with things. Anyhow, enjoy slacronym 82.

Okay, page 25 is just another page without wording. Unless you count sound effects. Page 26 however does have wording again, so I promise it will pick up. I didn't finish drawing the pages, I just have one left to do. But my carpal tunnels been hurting real bad, so I have to take it easy. I will however get that done this weekend and scanned before monday.

Just gotten to work on those pages. They will be scanned Friday, or at least that's the plan. Enjoy today's Slacronym, aka, Slacronym 81. I'm sure you've noticed the lack of humor in my comic lately. Yeah I guess I'm just not getting the funny moments I usually get. Well, I'll just have to create some somehow. Until then I will read Stone of Tears by Terry Goodkind and maybe I will get some ideas.

Haven't gotten any furthur with drawing those comics. Been feeling down and out. But I still managed to get what I needed to done. I will work on those drawings soon though. Been reading Stone of Tears again. Still need to finish it from months ago when I got it. My speakers on my computer blew out so I have to replace those. T_T Anyway here's worldess Page 24. Yes wordless. Well it has a few works, but no talking, just wanted this one to be an action page.

I've gotten about 2 and a half pages worth of comics drawn. I'm not even sure how long I decided to make this chapter. But I know I'll have to look at chapter 2 real soon. I also need to get to work on some other comics. Yeah my other projects. I'm thinking the same thing you are, I probably wont get that done for a LONG ass time. That's probably true. I'm really feeling lazy lately. We'll see how things go. There will be more of Emma before the chapter is through. Enjoy Slacronym 80!

New slacronym sheet for you this week. This was suppose to be up with 76, but somehow that didn't happen so...it's up with 77. I hope you enjoy the new style sheet. I gotta get to work on another. I was at a friends house all day and just got home an hour ago, so that's today's excuse for this being up a couple hours late. No comic is scheduled for Friday, however I will see what I can do. I have a lot going on this week, so no promises. But hopefully next week there will be a new page for chapter 1, that is the plan.

In other news, I've finished sketching the wallpaper for the windows Xp theme I modified. I will be posting the zip soon. I realize the text color is kinda hard to read, I couldn't really fix that. I'm not really sure how, and I couldn't find anyone to help me out. If you know how to do so in Reshacker let me know!

Also been drawing a miranda Image for my desktop wallpaper for my windows XP theme. I still ahve a few bugs to figure out how to work out. As soon as I finish that I plan to get back to work on the comic. But it might be a little while cus I gotta finish drawing that wallpaper, then color it and such. I will however try to put up filler comics every week until my time frees up after finishing that theme. ^_^

So Jakes back, and I have the week to spend with him, apart from Monday I couldn't and Wednesday I can't either. I had/have to take my mom to some appointments. I hope I get to see him again before he goes back to Iraq though. It was cool to go see Harry Potter with him, and to go see Transformers with him, even though he fell asleep near the end cus his partying hard is catching up with him. So there wont be a comic on Friday, unless I manage to somehow find free time for a filler. Sorry guys, life calls. Updates will resume to normal asap.

My friend Jake's coming back from Iraq, actually he's suppose to be back since yesterday, but I didn't get the chance to call him. So maybe I will today. The point is, I might not have any new comics next week, cept for maybe a Slacronym and a filler comic. I spent a lot of time this week working on my new windows XP theme which isn't quite done yet. But once it is done I will be posting a download for you in the extra's section, since it's a Miranda theme. ;)

Happy Friday the 13th if it's not a dreadful day for you. As you know I've been reading a lot, and on top of that I've been web browsing a lot. I found a site called Good Reads that, if you like reading, you should check it out. I've almost finished two books this week, however I might not finish them until next week. Been working on the comic. Have a lot to get done and need to stop slacking off. But I find it hard to concentrate lately, on anything but reading. So we'll see how things go eh?

I've been spending all my free time reading, so nope, still no work on special #13. I'll get around to it eventually. I just gotta get into the beat. I haven't even started on next Friday's comic yet because I've been spending time reading, and spending time with friends. I'll get around to it, don't worry. I wont forget to work on it. ;) The comic updates will resume, thats a promise that I CAN keep.

I'm almost out of pages to color! AH! I gotta get back to drawing this next week. Gotta get 5 pages drawn and ready to scan within the next couple weeks. Anyhow, I hope you enjoy this page. Page 18 has the first appearance of Emma, that will be next week!

So all I have to do now is finish that Carlos fanart. :P I've printed out some of my photography in hopes of selling some of it tomorrow. I got some of my sketches ready for selling also, so I hope I make some money. Wish me luck.

I will be getting started on the special issue. But first, I've got a contest I want to do on deviant art that I don't have a lot of time to do, since I didn't see it until it was almost too late. I'm going to draw a comic page for that. I also want to finish a fanart I did a couple weeks ago for Carlos, that needs to be colored. After I finish up those two tasks I will start on special #13.

Yep, still haven't started on that special issue. Gotta see if I feel up to it after I finish next weeks page. New link though, bloglines. It's a good way to keep track of your feeds.

I can't believe June has gone by so quickly, and I haven't missed a beat. That's good right? That means I've been keeping updates going. I don't know why, but summers made it easier for me. So...Even though hits have gone down for the summer, I'll continue to toss you updates. No special update this week. It's been a busy week, fathers day, my friend jacobs birthday on monday, my dads birthday(yesterday, the first day of summer), and taking my mom to the dentist, I just haven't had enough free time. Monday I wont have a lot of time either because I have to take my mom to the dentist again. T_T How inconvienient. But I will somehow manage to keep updates rolling smoothly. In fact, I usually take Friday's off, but I think today I will spend time working on my comic for what I wont be able to get done on Monday.

Just wanted to let you know, I'm not going to be updating the graphics for the latest page, latest slacronym, latest special, or latest guest strip, for everytime I upload a new one. So make sure to keep track of the feed, or subscribe to the FBCG blog on myspace. Or you can check us out on onlinecomics.net to be notified of updates. I will however update them every now and again. Probably change the style a few times.

I will continue to post the date for what was uploaded last at the top of the page as usual, if that is how you keep track of it. So no changes there.

As you can see I haven't yet started on special 13 as I had planned. I've been screwing around with Stumble! an add-on for web browsers. Yes, I am a total screw off, that's me. Gotta do what I gotta do man. :P Feel lucky I'm even updating. Cus I could have went back to not updating for a long time again. It's a struggle just to keep posting new updates. Not that I don't love doing it, I just have my ups and downs constantly. Summer isn't always one of the best times for people to read comics anyhow. Although I will update regardless of how many readers there are during the summer season, because I know come fall people will be delighted to read a bunch of new strips.

I don't know about you guys, but I wanna go see the fantastic four movie. Although I'm not going to go see it today, maybe wait until the hypes down a bit, maybe next week.

I've been spending a lot of time drawing this past week, trying to improve my skills. I am in the process of uploading some of the stuff I did in Oekaki to my deviant art. So keep a look out for that stuff.

I'm about ready to get started on special #13 for you guys to keep you up to date with funnies.

I've also worked on a bunch of artworks that I hadn't finished, so I will be uploading those to my deviant art soon also.

I was thinking that I should change my image buttons soon at the top of the page that talk about issues, special issues ect...I was thinking I might use the latest comics for those images. So keep a lookout for that change. I hope you're liking the comic and keep following along. If I finish Chapter 1 I might end up putting it into comic version for you guys to buy. I'll let you know if that happens.

This weekend was a pretty decent one. I did a bunch of things this weekend. Wrote some more stuff, played kingdom hearts chain of memories...I've almost finished reading Wizard's First Rule. Parts of it draws me in. It's a good book so those of you haven't read it yet, I definitely recommend it to. Especially you fantasy readers! I caught up on another, strange comic. It seems to be pretty popular, but it could use more popularity. Also this weekend I joined up with Digg and Del.icio.us. I spent a LOT of time on digg Sunday night. They have some awesome articles, and most of the things people post make me laugh. It definitely brings me joy to visit it. I recommend joining. ;) If you want to add me to your digg buddy list let me know. ^_^ You'll notice at the top near the feed button is now a Digg button. So come on then, digg FBCG!

Lifes taking a turn for the weird. :P I'd go into more detail, but there's not much I can tell without giving a lot away to the wrong people. I spent a lot of my weekend writing. Nothing that you guys would be interested in though. Definitely not writing on the comic. I just haven't felt like working on the script lately. I will get around to it eventually. I've got plenty of script left to draw. Special issue 12 will be up friday, as well as the next page. Enjoy todays slacronym.

As you can see my progress on special #12 is getting there. Almost completed. It should be a little while before it's done. A little more to color and such and then I will be posting it in a 4 part segment. I will let you know when that will be. I almost didn't finish my work for Ch1 pg12 this week. Been a hard week for me. Ups and downs as usual. But I'm doing my best. Bare with me here.

Shout out to my buddy Diana since it's her birthday today! Woot. How does it feel to be old? ^_^ 20 today. Whoopie! ^_^ Not as old as me, but getting there. Hehe.

Okay I still have more to draw for special 12 to be done. I still have a hard time getting out of this lazy mode. I need some motivation, but lately there hasn't been much since a lot of comic artists have slacked off or just stopped doing thier comics all together. That's what was keeping me motivated. Without that motivation it's hard to go on. Artists like Snafu Dave and Teh Dave need to come back to me so I can be motivated. However, they don't cater to my needs. So...I'm just doing the best I can.

There will be a comic up friday. I will try to do more work on the next page for this week. I shoulda spent more of my weekend catching up. But nope, I was too busy thinking about other things. Playing magic the gathering, watching too much tv. There will be another page up next week since I finished it already. I'm working on page 12, and hopefully I can find a little free time to work on special #12, since it's almost finished anyways. That's all I have to say this time.

This weekend wasn't an uneventful weekend. It was a pretty special weekend. On Friday I went to go see Spider-man 3, and it was godly. If you haven't seen it yet, you better go see it now or you will die a horrible and painful death.

I also got a little further in the Wizard's First Rule by Terry Goodkind. I am enjoying it mucho.

However I slacked off on page 10 until Sunday, which I ended up having to stay up late doing. That being because I want to keep on schedule, and it takes about a week to get a page done these days. I was hoping to get a little ahead of schedule so I wouldn't have to stress so much this week, but that didn't happen. It's a lot harder than I thought it would be, just to get back into the beat of things.

I know special issue 12 has been sitting there for it seems a decade and a half. I will eventually get that done, if I can manage to find the time to do it. I need to spend more time working on the comic like I use to. I plan to do just that, however, for now I have a lot of other tasks I've been putting off, such as reading some really great books. So I plan to try to juggle them all at once. It'll keep me good and busy.

Also this weekend I had to delete some porn crap on the tagboard. I was not pleased about that, but it could have been plenty worse. Death to those who post porn sites on my tagboard and forum. Death I say, DEATH!

It's been a long weekend. I've been looking for a job since Friday, so far nothing. But I have to go out again today to take some forms back, and think of where else I might want to work. The comic for Friday is up, and I will try to get next weeks ready, but I'll make no promises, as I have a lot of work to do finding a job. Thank you for being patient with me.

So, as you already know. I missed the tuesday update. I meant to post this sooner, but I just got around to it now. Reason I didn't update was because adobe's been crashing all weekend every other time I open it, and I didn't get around to doing the slacronym. Bad adobe. It crashed and I didn't feel like reinstalling cus it's such a hassle. So next week hopefully I will have a slacronym. I'm going to get back to working on the comic soon if all stays going okay. ^_^ Things could be better. My ear hurts quite a bit. But it'll feel better eventually I hope. I'm actually going to schedule and update for next week, and lets hope that I come through for ya!

Sorry I haven't been updating Friday's lately. This week I had planned to get back to work. Unfortunately, that might not happen until the end of the week. >_< I had to reformat my computer this weekend. I have to download a replacement firewall cus mine crapped out. I'm looking for an online virus scan that I can use in firefox. I have to draw a comic for a local paper that's due Wednesday, and I've barely gotten anything done on it. I also need to get to work on resizing some pictures, and drawing an artwork that I had planned to do, and haven't gotten around to doing yet. I have so much to do, and just no time to do it all. It's driving me nuts! I will hopefully have a comic up next week. That's the plan. Also I have to get to work on coloring the next slacronym sheet. I might end up doing that before I end up working on the actual comic again, just so that I can at least get slacronyms up for you every week.

Aww shit! I forgot to upload the comic! I forgot to even do it until just now. Sorry it's late. Distractions as usual. Been thinking too much about magic the gathering. Not to mention Secret of mana. You've played that game before right? If you haven't you totally fail at life. I've also been doing a lot of reading lately, among other things. Been taking lots of photos, of which I have so many images to resize it seems I will never have time for anything else!

I feel like shit, I caught the flu around tuesdayish, so I'm feeling rather shitty right now. Not to mention just yesterday I tripped and hurt myself. That happens with me frequently, I am a klutz. It has been one shitty week, so no new comic, no new comic next week either. Someday I will fall back into the routine, but right now, I just need this break. I will have a slacronym up on tuesday, if I don't forget, or get worse over the weekend.

As I said before, I wasn't going to do any work this week, and I didn't as for next week I have no idea. It really depends on how I'm feeling. So, there will be no comics next week. However, I might do a slacronym, because those don't take that long, but I wouldn't count on it. I will probably miss my first slacronym ever. I'm just not feeling well enough to work on the comic. Wish for my good health! The sooner I get better, the sooner I will get back to the comic. However, don't fret, because the comic will not be dead forever. Just a minor hiatus, so make sure to come back and check to make sure I haven't updated just in case I did. Or subscribe to the myspace blog, or the feed. However, there will be an update on April 7th!

Hey guys, I'm not feeling so great. My health is again on the fritz. Yeah, exactly, I know right? Trust me I'm working on it, and it's just not cooperating with me. I am taking this week off, so expect no updates next week. I am unsure when things will resume. I really HATE to take off time from the comic. I really wanna work on it but I just can deal with the stress right now. It's not good for my health at this time, and I have extra stress from other issues.

This really sucks because I have to work on the next slacronym sheet, and come up with an idea for the slacronym sheet after that. I was planning on two special updates next month. However, I dont want to burn myself out too much, so I decided on only one. I have it finished, and since Sam's birthday happens to be coming up next month, that's the one I did. I also have to scan some new pages I did for upcoming pages, which I might do anyways because that doesn't take me too long, but I probably dont do that until Friday. Lots of work ahead of me. So unfortunately, despite all that I have and want to do, I'm just not gunna be able to do it for a while. If anyone wants to contribute to helping me it would be great. I haven't been feeling good all week. However I managed to get next weeks page ready in about 3 days. Which was good. I started the work on the next page so that next week I will have less work to do. Always good to keep ahead of shit I guess. But I'll still feel like shit. :P

It's been one hell of a weekend. I think I've contracted a computer virus. My computer keeps freezing like crazy. It never freezes. However I find no other traces. I have to see if I can't find a free virus scan that doesn't eat too much resources so that I might be able to use it. If anyone knows of any, please tell me!

Other than contracting some kind of malicious computer virus, a friend of mine committed suicide this weekend. We weren't close, however, that doesn't change the fact that she was cared about and is gone now.

First of all, happy birthday ZOEgirl! Hope you have one hell of a fucking birthday! ^_^

Second of all, Happy birthday to my bro whose brithday is on Sunday! Which I didn't forget, just didn't have time to make a special issue for. >_<

Lastly, I have a lot of work to do if I wanna get two special issues up for next month. I've already gotten one sketched, but it still needs to be inked and colored. :P We'll see what happens. I'll probably spend a majority of my weekend doing that.

I almost forgot to update today! I was super busy working on page 6 trying to finish it so I have more time for other things this week. Nugh. I shouldn't have taken my birthday off. It's been hard to do stuff all weekend. I barely managed to get this comic ready. It's one of those feel like shit weekends, followed by a feel like shit week. I will do my best to get page 5 ready but I'm not making promises. However, page 4 will be up on Friday.

(sl49)I got my license yesterday, and I ended up not having time for the comic until later, in which adobe decided to crash on me, and so I will end up doing the update later today and posting it. Sorry shits been screwed up lately. I'm late with updates a lot these days. But lifes changing. I have to get a job soon, so I'm unsure of how I will be able to juggle the comic, a social life, and having a job. So bare with me while things are shakey.

Big surprise. There's no update today. LoL. Trust me I haven't been sitting on my ass doing nothing all week. I've been drawing pages. I have 3 drawn and inked. I just need to scan them and start coloring. I really rather have 5 drawn and inked before I do that though. I also drew inked, and started coloring my small comic project that I will end up posting on deviant art. But that's not all! I've also gotten the valentines comic drawn and inked! It will be up on time, hopefully. I'm busting my ass off, doing more than a page a day if I can manage it. I really would have done all 5 pages, but I decided to do the valentines comic since valentines is just around the corner, and I decided to start on my mini project. So as you can see I have nothing to show for all the work I've done yet, but I assure you, you will NOT be disappointed when all is said and done. I plan to spend today drawing a page and inking it, if I'm feeling well, since I'm not feeling so hot right now. I don't draw on the weekends unless I feel like it, so chances are no work will be done then. Monday I have my driving test, so wish my luck there. I will try to draw and ink a page on Tuesday, and we'll see if I can manage one for Friday. I'm sorry that I've gotten off to a slow start, but I assure you, work is being done! Be patient with me, send me fanart and maybe I will work twice as hard.

(sl48)I haven't had a good start this year as that's plain to see. Still no update for Friday. I think it might be a couple weeks or so before I can actually get an update schedule going again. I've started a mini comic project. Just something out of the ordinary. It'll only be a couple pages long. So far I've got one page almost completed. I'm working on coloring it and texting it at the moment. That's not to say I'm not working on FBCG. I am definitely working on FBCG also. I'm multitasking. I know you'd like to see me work on FBCG more, but I really just wanted to draw another mini comic just for deviantart in hopes of getting more fans to come read this comic after seeing that one. Wish me luck! I might be finished with that page by Friday so I will drop a link on the site for those of you who want to check it out. As you can see I've almost finished the next special issue. I'm unsure when that will be done, but I'm getting there.

I haven't done shit all week, honestly. But I have an old artwork I did of Miranda that I have posted. Wednesday, I actually had to reformat my comp cus it was acting all wiggy. So that sucked. Monday and Tuesday I was just lazy. But I did manage to do work on Thursday. I was actually working on the banner thursday. It will probably be up sometime this weekend, maybe even later today. If you'll notice i have uploaded the new bios pages.

(ch0pg75)There will be no comic next week, but I might throw up a penciled artwork instead. I haven't gotten done with much of anything lately. The past couple days I've been burnt out from working on the new bios. Also headaches, and for some odd reason my necks swollen a little so it hurts real good. It makes it hard to get things done on time. But I will do my best to get things done as soon as possible. I am going to try to get my license on the 29th. After that I will be looking for a job, and finding myself with probably a lot less time for the comic. So I'm hoping I can get everything finished before then. I wont hold my breath.

I have a lot of work to get done with drawing new comics for the new chapter. More than likely I will not have the first page done by next Friday. However, page 75 is going to be up this Friday. Here's comic 74 for your viewing pleasure. 75 is also finished but thats next weeks. I gotta finish drawing and coloring some of the new stuff so I need more time. I also need to go over my script and everything to make sure it's how I want it to be. In the meantime i'm going to also try to finish up a new website banner. As you've probably noticed my avatar to the left has changed. That's my new randomized logo that I created in adobe one day by accident. You've probably also noticed the background of the pages is different. Just a simple gradient to do the job. I also need to redo the bios page, which I plan on doing soon. As you've noticed I've managed to do a lot of things without mentioning them and actually got them done when I wanted to. So I will try not to slack off so much. I also finally finished that broken vote link at the top of the page, so don't forget to vote. If you have any ideas for vote incentives please drop a tag in my tagbox and I will see to a poll.
